She captioned the video: ‘Best ways to get your nutrients in and become nourished.’

‘When to eat versus when to supplement, from a nutritionist. I like to let food be thy medicine in my practice and I use supplements very often.

‘So let’s talk about when I would recommend one over the other.’

The first nutrient she began discussing was glutamine, which is said to boost your immune system and repair damaged tissue, according to Cleveland Clinic.

‘It’s an amino acid that can be really helpful for gut issues, specifically leaky gut. It helps to feed the cells of the gut lining so it acts like spackle to seal up all those little tears.

‘You can take a powered supplement form of glutamine or you can drink bone broth,’ she said.

The gut health expert encouraged her followers to sip on bone broth as she noted that it can also provide you with collagen and glycine.

‘You get a better bang for your buck,’ she added.

The next nutrient she discussed was Vitamin D, adding that Vitamin D deficiencies are ‘incredibly common’ and can dictate bone health, thyroid health, mood, mental health as well as your immune health.

Because there isn’t a ‘rich food source of Vitamin D that exists,’ Claire suggested that her followers purchase it in the form of a supplement.

‘The last nutrient is selenium. Selenium is especially important for your thyroid,.

‘You can get your daily intake of selenium through Brazil nuts – and not a lot of them. You only need two, maybe three,’ she said at the end of the clip.

People on the web flooded the comments section and praised the nutritionist for her tips.

One person said: ‘Love this deep dive, so educational.’

Someone else wrote: ‘So helpful!’

Another user added: ‘Love your skin and body omg.’
